08/25-09 SQ and KQ
We all get our fill of iffy services and shoddy products; so much so that when we encounter something exceptional, it really stands out. Such is the case with an excellent experience I just had with the entire staff at Macadam Vision Clinic (Dr. Mauri Bauer, Norma and Stephanie).
I decided to call Macadam Vision Clinic after a fairly negative experience at one of those "national chains" (not going into those details here). I spoke with Norma on the phone and she happily took the time to talk about my concerns and offering her insights. This initial positive experience was a huge confidence boost.
That experience continued with Dr. Bauer. She took the time to listen and to understand my particular needs. Quite frankly, it was extraordinary by comparison. I didn't feel like I was being pressured by a time limit; or on some production line conveyor belt being sent from one computerized testing station to another. But before you assume that I'm crowing about good bedside manners (which I am), it actually made a more important difference ... I received the a prescription that fit my lifestyle.
Stephanie was great in that she listened. I didn't get the "frame-of-the-week" pitch, but instead, I got the frames with the options that I actually wanted.
And while I didn't do a line-by-line comparison of prices, a back of the napkin glance looks like Macadam Vision Clinic is priced competitively with the nationals. Who knew!
Anyways... enough gooshing. Bottom line: Great People + Outstanding Service + Competitive Prices = Solid Recommendation.
