Greg W. Schober, OD
Dr. Schober graduated from Pacific University in 1979.  He founded Water Tower Contact Lens & Vision Clinic in 1981. A move down the street and a name change to Macadam Vision Clinic transpired in 2003.  In the summer, Dr Schober enjoys motor boating and wake boarding on the Willamette, hiking, going to the gym and cycling. Dr. Schober and Dr. Bauer got married atop Larch Mountain in the gorge in October 1983.  Soon, two sons, now attending Georgetown University, followed and then a daughter arrived who currently attends Grant High School.  The Schober family attends Southlake Church.  Dr. Schober enjoys making new friends with new patients and catching up with those that have been coming for years.

Mauri D. Bauer, OD

Dr. Bauer received 2 degrees from Pacific University: a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science in 1978 and a Doctorate of Optometry in 1980.
She has practiced with her husband, Dr. Greg Schober, at Macadam Vision Clinic for the past 25 years in the Johns Landing area.
She enjoys hiking, camping, and wakeboarding.

In addition to attending The Touchables performances, she also takes pleasure in playing piano duets with her 3 children and singing/playing duets with her husband, Greg.

She finds that the company of the family’s pet cockatoo, Kelly enhances porch dinners and yardwork activities.

Norma, Optician

Norma has been in the optical business for 29 years and at Macadam Vision Clinic for 13 years.  She is a "people person" who loves helping patients with all of their optical needs.   She especially enjoys helping you find that perfect pair of frames and lenses.

Norma and her husband are native Portlanders.  They have raised their two grown children and are now enjoying the benefits of grandchildren.

In her spare time, she loves getting together with friends and family and fine dining.

Stephanie, Optician
Stephanie moved to Oregon from Massachusetts in June of 2004 and has been at Macadam Vision Clinic since January of 2006.  She's been a licensed optician for 21 years and still enjoys helping you find the highest quality and most fashionable frames and lenses for all your eyewear needs.  She, firmly, believes that you deserve the very best eyewear with the lastest and greatest technology and demonstrates this in her own extensive eyeglass and sunglass collection.  You are likely to see her in a different pair of glasses each time you come in!

Outside of her work at Macadam Vision Clinic, she enjoys meeting many amazing women in her second job as a Mary Kay consultant teaching skin care and color application. www.marykay.com/steffbenoit

When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband, two teenage boys and her special Golden Retriever, Otto!

Shauna

Shauna joined Macadam Vision Clinic in 1996.  She took a few years off to be at home with her two young sons and is now back as a part-time employee.  Shauna specializes in lab work and patient relations, as a member of the front desk staff.

Outside of work, her favorite times are spent camping and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.

Sandra

Sandra has been with us since September of 2006.  She is our resident insurance specialist and will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your insurance benefits.  She will even bill your insurance company for you!

While Sandra is not working at Macadam Vision Clinic, she enjoys showing her creative abilities in hair cutting and coloring.  Look for her at Modish Salon Studios in the Pearl District.
